Kitchener resident charged in Brant County crash that hospitalized 5 people

A Kitchener resident has been charged in connection with a crash that sent five people to hospital Thursday morning in Brant County.

Ontario Provincial Police say the two-vehicle collision happened shortly after 6 a.m. on Brant Road near McLean School Road.

Paramedics brought five people with non-life-threatening injuries to a nearby hospital.

Officers have now charged a 46-year-old Kitchener resident with careless driving causing bodily harm.

Brant Road was closed for about six hours for a police investigation, but has since reopened.
