Buckingham Palace announced Tuesday that the coronation of King Charles III will take place on May 6, 2023.
Camilla, the Queen Consort, will also be crowned in the ceremony.
The Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, London and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
King Charles became monarch when his mother Queen Elizabeth II died.
King Charles became monarch when his mother the late Queen died, but the coronation will mark a symbolic celebration of his new reign. King Charles will be the oldest that a new monarch has been crowned, at 74-years-old.
The coronation will also be the first for almost 70 years. The last coronation was for Elizabeth II in June 1953.
