Keeping Up with the Joneses

Keeping Up with the Joneses is a comedy directed by Greg Mottola (Paul, Superbad). It stars Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher, Jon Hamm, Gal Gadot, and Patton Oswalt.

An ordinary suburban couple (Galifianakis, Fisher) discover it’s not easy keeping up with their impossibly gorgeous and ultra-sophisticated new neighbors, the Joneses (Hamm, Gadot) – especially when they discover that Mr. and Mrs. “Jones” are really covert operatives.

Galifianakis’ character Jeff is someone who “puts a positive face on everyone and everything,” he explains, “so it’s fun to watch him lose it when faced with real danger. I loved playing a character that starts coming unraveled, thanks to the spies he’s becoming friends with.” And while Hamm’s character Tim seems like a suave super spy on the outside, the actor describes him as “a reluctant spy. He’s very good at it, but he doesn’t necessarily still like it. He’d like to be more like Jeff—a normal suburban guy.”

The two actors were excited to reunite for this movie. “Zach has such a unique comedic mind, and it’s always fun just to catch up with his energy,” Hamm explains, while Galifianakis boasts that he “knew Jon before he was ‘suave Jon’. He is actually really funny. To be that handsome, too, is kind of unfair, isn’t it?”
