Karina Gould outlines her platform as she runs for Liberal leadership

CHCH News anchor Matt Ingram speaks with Burlington MP Karina Gould to speak about the threat of American tariffs looming over the country.

The federal Liberal party will be picking Justin Trudeau’s successor Sunday.

Four candidates are in the running: former Bank of Canada and Bank of England Governor Mark Carney, former Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, former Liberal MP Frank Baylis and Burlington MP and former Cabinet member Karina Gould.

Gould was asked why she wants to be the next prime minister, and what her plan for dealing with Donald Trump and his tariffs would be.
