The Honda Indy screams into downtown Toronto this weekend, a month earlier than normal. Due to the upcoming Pan Am games the Honda Indy, which transforms Toronto’s downtown streets into race tracks for a weekend, will be starting tomorrow.
Event staff are still setting up the bulk of the activities and race crews are testing their cars out and you could see it all tomorrow for Fan Friday which allows everyone to enter the race grounds for free, but it’s recommended that you supply a donation to Make A Wish Canada, which Honda Indy will match by the end of the day. For the last two years the race has experimented with having two Indy car races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. However, this year, there will only be one race on Sunday. That race will have a very special guest. Oakville’s James Hinchcliffe, will be the race’s Grand Marshal.
