Charges have been withdrawn against the former head of Hamilton’s Settlement and Immigration Service Organization.

Morteza Jafarpour was facing two counts of uttering death threats against former staff members following the collapse of SISO. He has no criminal record, and spent five days in jail without a bail hearing.

In June, the Crown and defence proposed to have his charges dropped if he stuck to his restrictive bail conditions until November 15th.

SISO closed last January after the federal government pulled its funding.
