Investment scheme leads to charges
A 64 year old man from Oakville has been charged in an elaborate investment fraud scheme that claimed to fund orphanages in Africa through The Bedrock Foundation.
Carman Douglas Lynn is accused of using false companies and documents to lure investors promising a “10 fold return” on their investments.
Lynn is a superintendent of a building in Oakville and police were tipped off by a tenant.
The extent of losses is still being determined. At least three victims have come forward.
