Intersection at Parkdale Avenue, Main Street East in Hamilton closed July 23

The intersection at Parkdale Avenue and Main Street West in Hamilton will be closed on July 23 for roadwork.

The City of Hamilton says the road closure is for a watermain installation that it is part of the work to build the city’s Light Rail Transit.

The intersection was to be closed from July 14 to July 16 but the construction date was changed to one day of work on July 23.

The closure will affect traffic in all directions and HSR services and is “pending weather and logistics.”

Residents can access side streets west of Parkdale Avenue.
