International visitors not welcome at Japan Olympics

Yet another example of just how different the Olympic experience will be for athletes from around the world. The International Olympic Committee and organizers in Japan have finally confirmed that spectators from abroad will be barred from the Tokyo Olympics when they open in four months. Officials say the risk is too great to admit ticket holders from overseas during the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers have promised refunds for approximately one-million tickets that were sold to foreign fans.
