International Criminal Court issues arrest warrant for Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is wanted internationally by the International Criminal Court (ICC) as of Thursday morning.

The ICC issued arrest warrants Thursday morning for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former defence minister Yoav Gallant and other Hamas officials.

They are being accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity over the war in Gaza and the October attacks that triggered Israel’s offensive in the Palestinian territory.

The decision turns Netanyahu and the others into internationally wanted suspects, likely to further isolate them and complicate efforts to negotiate a cease-fire.
