Hospital renamed at Mohawk

The new hospital being built on Hamilton Mountain now has a name.

It’ll be called the “Margaret and Charles Juravinski Centre for Integrated Healthcare”.

That’s to recognize the Hamilton couple’s $10 million donation to the facility.

The hospital, being built on West 5th across from Mohawk College, will have more than 300 inpatient beds and will specialize in treating people dealing with mental health and addiction.

It’s slated to open in the summer of 2014.
