Horse breeders still skeptical about racing’s future
Updated Premier Kathleen Wynne has announced a three year deal to keep horse racing alive at four rural race tracks.
This is in addition to previous deals reached with Woodbine and Mohawk. Wynne would not reveal any specific numbers, only saying that this is “good news.” But as Sean Leathong found out, members of the province’s horse racing industry remain nervous about their future.
