Jason Statham stars as former DEA agent Phil Broker who moves with his daughter to a quiet town to settle down and get away from all that stressful DEA stuff in Homefront. Unfortunately for him, James Franco co-stars as a meth kingpin who soon discovers the secret of Broker’s past.

When Broker’s “take no guff” attitude rubs some drug-dealing locals the wrong way, it’s up to him to defend his turf and his daughter. Homefront looks to be the newest in the long tradition of one-man-against-the-world action vehicles that have become Statham’s speciality.

The highlight of this one looks to be Franco’s bad guy Gator. After the success of his role as Alien in Spring Breaks, it seems Franco has taken a shine to playing funny talking bad guys with common nouns for names. And we’re okay with that.
