It’s hard to believe it’s been 16 years since the Peanuts comic strip ended its long newspaper run. Lucky for us Charles Schulz’s characters live on, and their latest adventure is hitting stores this week.

Along with the feature film the home video release includes a half-hour long making-of documentary, shorter featurettes about Snoopy and how to draw some of the characters, music videos, and a gallery of images.

Ron Howard’s latest is being released in 3D as well as traditional formats and comes packaged with features including “Whale Tales: Melville’s Untold Story”, “The Hard Life of a Whaler”, “Chase & Pollard: A Man of Means and A Man of Courage”, “Lightning Strikes Twice: The Real-Life Sequel to Moby Dick”, “Commanding the Heart of the Sea”, “Ron Howard: Captain’s Log”, and deleted/extended scenes.

The film has been available on Digital HD since February 23 but is now available on Blu-ray and DVD. The small assortment of special features includes a making of featurette, deleted scenes, photo galleries, and the theatrical trailer.
