Hold and secure lifted at 2 Brantford schools after report of gunshot
Police have lifted a hold and secure at two schools in Brantford nearly one hour after a resident nearby reported hearing a gunshot Wednesday morning.
Officers say they received a call shortly before 11:30 a.m. from a resident of a home on Tenth Avenue near Division Street.
Police briefly placed Bellview Public School and Madonna Della Libera Catholic Elementary School under a hold and secure as a precaution.
The hold and secure orders were lifted around 12:30 p.m.
Officers continue to investigate the unconfirmed report of a gunshot being heard.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
