HHS launches new program to enhance support for nurses

Hamilton Health Sciences has launched a new program called the Virtual Nurse-to-Nurse Support Line.

The goal is give nurses a safe and judgement-free space to call after hours or on weekends, when in-person resources are more limited.

The pilot program was launched in April and is now available to nurses at all adult hospital sites.

HHS is in the midst of getting feedback from nurses, and seeing if the program can be extended long-term.
