Heat warning in effect. Be careful!

Its another hot weekend and a heat warning has been issued for Hamilton and all of southern Ontario.

With temperatures in the low 30’s and humidex values near 40, its important to understand the risks.

Everyone can be affected, but young children, pregnant women, older people and those with chronic illnesses are the most vulnerable.

Outdoor workers are urged to take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool place.

You’re urged to check on older friends and neighbours and never leave people or animals in a hot vehicle.
