Heat warning for Hamilton, Halton, Niagara

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the next couple of days in Hamilton, Halton and Niagara regions.
Today and tomorrow could feel like 40 degrees Celsius with the humidity and daytime highs expected to reach nearly 31 degrees Celsius. There will be an overnight low of around 20 degrees Celsius.
The extreme heat can pose a risk for heat stroke or exhaustion. Children, seniors and even people who are exercising are at greater risk.
People are advised to drink plenty of water, stay in a cool place and do not leave children or pets inside a vehicle.
Hamilton will be opening cooling stations around the city for residents.
