Health-care workers from Newfoundland and Labrador coming to Ontario

A cohort of health-care workers from Newfoundland and Labrador will be heading to Ontario on Tuesday.

They are coming to help deal with an overwhelming surge in COVID-19 cases.

Premier Andrew Furey says the workers will offer extra hands wherever deemed most useful.

Details are coming together for the Newfoundland and Labrador contingent of health care professionals heading to Ontario to offer COVID-19 help. Talking to Premier @fordnation over the weekend, and expect to provide an update tomorrow – looks like they’ll be on their way Tuesday!

Ontario reported 3,947 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, with over 2,100 patients in hospital and 851 in ICU.
