Health Canada has approved Moderna’s vaccine for children between the ages of six-months and five years old.

The decision expands vaccine eligibility to almost two million children, although the availability of the vaccine will be determined by provinces.

Pfizer’s pediatric COVID-19 vaccine for young children is still under review.
