HCA reconsidering green space

The Hamilton Conservation Authority wants officials to reconsider converting a portion of harbour land into green space.

The conservation authority would like to see a provision put into the Randle Reef plan to have 5 acres of land developed into green space.

Originally, the plan called for 7.5 acres of land to be converted to green space, but a revision was made allowing the Hamilton Port Authority to develop the entire space for commercial use.

Now the conservation authority would like to see a provision for green space re-included in the plan. The public has until February 3rd to comment on the plan.
