Hamilton’s Theatre Aquarius has announced a collection of performances for its upcoming 2023-24 lineup, marking the 50th season for the theatre with both classic and new works.

“We are honoured to launch our 50th season with such an incredible lineup of productions,” said Artistic Director Mary Francis Moore.

“We have so much to celebrate together, and we can’t wait to share this milestone with our audiences.”

Each season features about six different shows and the theatre’s 50th season is scheduled with the following:

    • Jonas and Barry in the Home – Sept. 27 to Oct. 14
    • Boy Falls from the Sky – Oct. 25 to Nov. 4
    • Pollyanna The Musical – Dec. 6 to 23
    • Uncle Vanya – Jan. 10 to 27
    • Shirley Valentine – Mar. 6 to 23
    • Beautiful Scars – April 24 to May 11

Located at 190 King William St., Theatre Aquarius is a not-for-profit registered charity that is dedicated to creating accessible live theatre.

The theatre was founded in 1973 and made the Dofasco Centre for the Arts its home in 1991.

“This season is about celebrating our past with some recognizable favourites, including the return of the big family musical for the holidays,” said Executive Director Kelly Straughan.

“At the same time, we are looking to the future with offerings like Tom Wilson and Shaun Smyth’s Beautiful Scars – a world premiere not to be missed.”

General tickets for all shows go on sale on July 24. For more information visit the theatre’s website.
