Hamilton’s ‘The Cannon’ closed after car crashes into coffee shop

The Cannon, a coffee shop in Hamilton’s east end, has been closed until further notice after a car crashed into it shortly before 5 a.m. on Thursday morning.
The coffee shop located at 180 Ottawa St. North said in an Instagram post that a vehicle drove into the front of the store “again,” marking the second collision into its building within the past three years.
CHCH News reported about the previous crash in 2020, which resulted in a man being charged with impaired driving.
That crash was at the coffee shop’s old location at the corner of Ottawa St. North and Cannon St., right across the street from where it’s current building is.
