Hamilton’s Rebel’s Rock Irish Pub set to be demolished

Another building in downtown Hamilton is set to be demolished after multiple structure collapses in the city’s core earlier this month.

The City of Hamilton says the former home of Rebel’s Rock Irish Pub is unsafe and needs to come down.

There have been two fires at the site found at King Street West near Wentworth, with the latest happening earlier this month at the back of the property.

The original building dates back to the 1890’s.

It was sold in 2021 and the owner said they had plans to redevelop the site into a mid-rise condo building.
