Hamilton’s Kenesky Sports turns 100

Hamilton’s Kenesky Sports turned 100 years old today.

To celebrate, a celebrity golf tournament teed off at Knollwood Golf Course in Ancaster. A number of NHLers took part, including the great Johnny Bower.

The tournament raised money for a number of local charities, giving back to the community that’s supported the store for an entire century.

Owner Joel Huslman finds it hard to fathom. “Especially with all the big box stores now and all the money out there with the competition. It’s a grind but we have fun.”

Money raised is going to the CHML Christmas Tree of Hope and to the Eva Rothwell Centre at Robert Land for their breakfast program.
