Toronto police have charged a Hamilton woman in Etobicoke during a protest against the provincial government’s removal of local bike lanes.

On Wednesday at around 1 p.m., police were in the area of Lothian Avenue and Bloor Street West for a demonstration.

Police say road work was underway to remove the curb barriers separating the bike lanes from the roadway.

Officers say protesters, including the suspect, entered the bike lane, where the suspect sat on one of the curb barriers, interfering with its removal.
