Hundreds of people gathered in downtown Hamilton today to honour service men and women.

The 100th annual Remembrance Day Parade and Memorial Service began at the John Weir Foote V.C. Armoury on James St. N. and ended at the Cenotaph in Veterans’ Place at Gore Park . The ceremony  included a reading of “In Flanders Fields” and a speech by Silver Cross Mother Bev McCraw, whose son died while fighting in Afghanistan.

Two minutes of silence was held to remember the ultimate sacrifice made by thousands of Canadians and to honour those who are serving today.
