Hamilton PSW is stress-free after $6 million win with LOTTO 6/49

Hamilton resident Kathy Roksa is feeling stress-free after cashing in her winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket for $6 million.

“All my stress is gone! My life will be good from here on out,” the 63-year-old personal support worker told OLG.

While Roska said she picks up lottery tickets occasionally, the March 20 draw was her first big win.

She purchased the winning ticket at Fortinos in Stoney Creek and checked it using the OLG Lottery app.

“It sounded like bells went off and I thought something was wrong,” she explained. “My husband and son checked the ticket themselves and said, you won $6 million!”

The mother of five and grandmother of three plans to share the money with her family and complete house renovations — and maybe even take a trip after the pandemic.

LOTTO 6/49 has given out over $13.2 billion in prizes to Ontarians since 1982.
