Hamilton Port Authority buys former Westinghouse property

The Hamilton Port Authority showed its confidence in the local manufacturing sector Tuesday, by acquiring half a million square feet of space just off Burlington Street East.
The Hamilton Port Authority have boosted their land ownership to 2.5 million square feet, the equivalent of about 43 football fields. And today, they acquired this space for $6-million. It has enough space to house some new businesses from manufacturing to storage.
Despite being one of the largest ports in Ontario, the Hamilton Port Authority was looking to expand.
