Hamilton police urge victim of apparent hate incident to come forward

Hamilton police want the victim of what they say is a hate incident shared on social media to come forward.

The video was shared by the Hamilton Centre for Civic Inclusion on Twitter. It appears to have happened over the weekend in Upper Stoney Creek.

The man in the pickup truck alleges he was cut off by the other vehicle.

The person in that vehicle asks him to repeat what he said before.

“What do you want me to say?” says the pickup truck driver. “What? Go back to your own country?”

When the driver of the other vehicle says he was born here, the truck driver says “Nah, you ain’t the right colour bud.”
