Hamilton police to discuss homicide investigation at 2:30 p.m.

VIDEO: Hamilton police will be providing an update at 2:30 p.m. related to the murder that took place on Friday.

On Friday, shortly before 4 p.m., Hamilton police responded to the area of Sanford Ave. North and Acorn St. for a shooting.

Investigators say a 53-year-old man was found dead inside a residence. Police have identified the deceased male as Robert Barberstock.

Police believe this was a targeted attack and are currently looking for three to four male suspects who were seen fleeing from the scene.

Shortly after this incident, Hamilton police responded to the Red Rose Motel, where a 38-year-old man was found with a serious leg injury from a gun shot wound.

Officers say the man is now in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate this incident to determine if it is related to the homicide.
