Hamilton police stress proper car seat use after finding children improperly secured

VIDEO: Hamilton police were conducting seatbelt checks on Greenhill Avenue when members of the Traffic Safety Unit came across a pickup truck containing two children who were not properly secured in their car seats.

Hamilton police are reminding people that parents and caregivers must ensure children are properly secured in an appropriate child restraint, and that it is installed and suited to the child’s age, height and weight.
