Hamilton Police seize over $200K worth of cocaine

Hamilton Police have seized cash and cocaine as part of a drug investigation.
Officers were given the go-ahead to execute two search warrants in the city on Friday.
While conducting surveillance on one of the addresses, a suspect was seen exiting the property and boarding an HSR bus.
Police say he was approached by a plain-clothes detective was arrested without incident.
Officers then executed the two search warrants.
One was at a residence in the area of Barton St. E and Lottridge St. and the other was near Charlton Ave. E and Catherine St. S.
Police seized about $220,000 worth of cocaine and over $20,000 cash.
Mahamud Ibrahim, 39, from Hamilton and Marcela Manriquez, 34, from Whitby are charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
A 34-year-old man of no fixed address faces those same charges as well as possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
