Hamilton police seek 5.7 per cent budget increase for 2025

Hamilton police are asking for more money in next year’s budget, allowing community members to share their opinions online.

The budget committee is asking for a 5.7 per cent increase over last year’s budget, which was nearly $215 million.

Details on specifics haven’t been released, and the proposal will be discussed at a public meeting on Dec. 17.

Community members can share their opinions by emailing the administrative director Kirsten.stevenson@hamilton.ca until Dec. 9 at 5 p.m.

All submissions will be included in the agenda and be posted online.
