Hamilton police seek 4 hooded suspects in Waterdown home invasion
Police are investigating a home invasion in Waterdown early Wednesday morning where four suspects attempted to steal two Mercedes sedans.
Officers say they received a report of a home invasion and robbery at around 4:15 a.m. at a home near Centre Road and Parkside Drive.
Detectives say four men in their 20s were involved in an attempted robbery.
Two suspects allegedly forcefully entered the house armed with weapons and demanded the keys to the two Mercedes sedans parked in the driveway.
Police then say the homeowners gave the men the keys to one of the vehicles but then got into a physical struggle with the suspects.
The four suspects then fled the home in a stolen white 2006 Hyundai Sonata, which was located abandoned in a different region outside the City of Hamilton.
Officers say no one was hurt from the home invasion, but also believe the robbery was a targeted attack.
Police say the suspects were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and masks.
Anyone with information or video of the home invasion is asked to contact police.
