Hamilton police search for male suspect in connection with sexual assault

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a male suspect in connection with a sexual assault.

On July 16 at around 7:50 a.m., the incident took place in the area of Main Street and Whitney Avenue after the victim exited a Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) bus.

Police allege that an unknown male approached the victim and sexually assaulted her.

Investigators are describing the suspect as a Black man, who is between five-foot-six and 5-foot-11 tall, with a thin to medium build and short, dark hair.

Officers say he was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black pants, black Nike Air Force 1-style shoes or similar footwear, was wearing white over-the-ear headphones and carrying a beige backpack.
