Hamilton police have released new surveillance imagery that may hold a clue in solving Randy Peardon’s murder.
On June 15, Peardon’s body was discovered inside 100 Connaught Ave.
By Sunday, a police autopsy was completed, and authorities confirmed he was murdered.
Today, the department circulated a photo of a red Hyundai Elantra with black rims in an appeal for witnesses after a man was dropped off near the scene on the morning that Peardon’s body was found by an unknown driver.
According to police, the vehicle picked up a man who they have identified at 7:55 a.m. at the corner of Main Street and Leinster Avenue South.
It then drove “a few hundred metres down the road” and dropped the man off at the corner of Main Street and Connaught Avenue.
Police have not explained what role the man might have had in the incident, if any, and have not openly called the man a suspect.
