Hamilton police recover unusual, dangerous weapon near Delta encampment

Hamilton police say they have recovered an unusual and dangerous weapon near an encampment in the city’s east end.

Officers recovered it from a tree branch in the encampment’s vicinity near King and Main streets.

The weapon is a 3.5-foot-long weapon with a butcher knife on one end and a lawnmower blade on the other end.

Police say they found it after a concerned citizen called them about it on Wednesday evening.
