July 29th marks 5 years since Michael Sullivan, 51 of Hamilton, was run down by a pick-up truck while riding his bike.
Michael was in the area of Barton st. and Lottridge around 2:30 pm doing some shopping when he had a short interaction with some people on the street.
Hamilton police say this interaction led to some misinformation being passed to the driver of a black Ford F150 pick-up truck.
The driver of the truck chased Sullivan into the back lot of 927 Barton st E where he hit Michael’s bike causing him a life threatening head injury.
The driver fled and was last seen driving eastbound on Barton st.
Michael was transported to Hamilton General hospital where he was placed on life support.
On October 19th, his family made the decision to discontinue the life support.
Hamilton police believe a small group of individuals have information that will lead to an arrest.
Police are reminding the public of the $50 000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Michael’s murder.
