Hamilton police investigating Tuesday night shooting downtown

Police in Hamilton are investigating after a Tuesday night parking lot shooting in the city’s downtown.

Officers say at around 10 p.m., they received reports of gunfire in the parking lot of 160 Main St. W, between Hess and Caroline streets. Witnesses reported hearing around four to five gunshots.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating two vehicles seen leaving the area after the gunfire was reported. One SUV and one sedan. No photos or additional details have been provided about the alleged suspect vehicles.

Investigators have not determined there to be any injuries or damage at this time.
