Hamilton police investigating sexual assault near Eastgate Square

Hamilton police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who allegedly sexually assaulted two women Friday afternoon.

At approximately 5:15 p.m. near Eastgate Square, officers say a man approached two women in a store. He then began speaking to the women before sexually assaulting them.

Investigators describe the man as possibly being of Asian or Hispanic descent, five-foot-five tall with a medium build, dark hair and some facial hair.

They add that he was wearing a grey jacket, a red hoodie and black Adidas running shoes.

The man left the store before authorities arrived.

Detectives are warning the public to be cautious if they come across the man.
