Hamilton police investigating homicide after assault victims dies in hospital

Hamilton police say they are investigating a homicide assault that happened in May after the victim recently died in hospital.

On May 31 at approximately 11:20 a.m., officers responded to the area of Wentworth Street North and Bristol Street.

When authorities arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from a serious head injury. They add that he was transported to hospital where he remained until his death on July 30.

Investigators describe the suspect as a Black male with a medium build. They say he was wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts and a white bucket hat.
