Hamilton police investigate shooting

Hamilton police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning.

Police say it happened in the area 44 Martha Street at around 3:30 a.m.

Officers located bullet holes at a residence in this area and police say a minor injury was reported as a resulting of breaking glass.

Police say they are treating this incident as targeted and that there is no risk to public safety.

There will be increased police presence in the area for most of Monday.

Police are asking residents to check their security surveillance cameras around the time of the incident if they have one and contact police at (905)-546-2918 with any information.
