Hamilton police identified suspects wanted in connection with a hit-and-run on Eastport Drive that left two women seriously injured Monday.

Emergency crews responded around 8 a.m. to a three-vehicle crash that involved a white 2024 Volkswagen SUV, a black 2010 Nissan and a white 2015 Honda.

Officers say two women in the Nissan were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Honda was also taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the two people in the Volkswagen fled the scene and when someone stopped to ask if they needed help, the pair jumped into the back seat, told the driver they had a gun and demanded a drive to Mead and Tate avenues in Hamilton.
