Hamilton police have charged a 57-year-old Toronto man after officers caught him going almost 100 kilometers over the speed limit on Highway 6.
Officers say the man was driving at a rate of 178 km/h on the highway near White Church Road, where the speed limit is 80 km/hr.
The man has been charged with speeding, stunt driving and failing to notify of an address change on his licence. His vehicle was impounded for 14 days and his licence suspended for 30 days.
Police are reminding the public that speeding like this can put everyone at risk.
