Hamilton police have charged a 35-year-old man and recovered stolen baseball equipment after a storage room was broken into in east Hamilton last Thursday.
Officers say a facility that was being used as a storage room and clubhouse for a youth baseball association was broken into.
They say a significant quantity of baseball equipment was stolen, including safety gear, bases, balls and bats, along with an expensive pitching machine used for training and practice.
Investigators executed a search warrant Monday at a house in east Hamilton.
They say as a result of the search, all the stolen equipment was successfully recovered, and the items have since been returned to the baseball association.
Police have charged a 35-year-old Hamilton man with possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000 and trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5,000.
