The largest budget ever put forward by Hamilton Police has been given the stamp of approval by the Police Services board…the 200-million dollar ask now goes to city council for final approval.
The capital budget however may be a tougher sell. The 10 year, 43 million dollar plan includes almost five million for the marine unit, 20 million for a new west mountain Police station and a million for horse stables. It also includes 16 million for a new forensics centre… a priority for police.
