Hamilton neighbourhood pool remains closed due to phone line damage

An outdoor pool in Hamilton’s Strathcona neighbourhood remains closed because of damage to the site’s emergency phone lines.

Ward 1 city councillor Maureen Wilson posted an update on Facebook about Victoria Park pool, saying it’s a provincial requirement to have a functioning emergency landline in order to open.

Wilson says the lines were “severed” and that Bell Canada is working to restore service as quickly as possible.

For people looking to beat the heat the next closest outdoor pool is Coronation Pool in the neighbourhood of Westdale.
