Hamilton municipal candidate nominations close ahead of fall elections

Now that registration is closed for Hamilton’s municipal election, residents could see a vastly different city council next term.

The nominations are solidified, and a total of 93 individuals will vie for a council seat. But with 7 saying they won’t be seeking re-election, it paves the way for change some have called for.

Hamiltonians can expect campaign efforts to ramp up now that registration has come to a close ahead of October 24th.
