A Hamilton man won big in a Pools game on Monday night – $70,566.40 to be exact.

In a press release, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says 58-year-old Thuy Thanh Phan has been a regular lottery player for more than 25 years and says he knew he won after a game.

“My family was happy for me when I shared the news with them,” he says.

This isn’t Phan’s first big win. He also won $100,000 in a DAILY KENO game three years ago.

Phan plans to use his winnings to pay down his mortgage.

OLG says the winning ticket was purchased at Handy Market on Burlington Street in Hamilton.
